Dakshina Kannada: Section 144 extended
Mangaluru, Feb 19, 2022: The prohibitory orders near schools and colleges have been extended in Dakshina Kannada police limits till Feb 26.
Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district Dr. Rajendra issued an order related to the extension on Feb 18.
Considering the Hijab and saffron controversy in the state, DC had issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 from Feb 14 to Feb 19 evening. On Feb 18 the DC issued an order extending Section 144 till Feb 26 evening.
Section 144 will be for 200 meters around all the schools and colleges in Dakshina Kannada district police limits.
