Founder’s Day celebration at Srinivas University
Mangaluru, Feb 11, 2022: A Shama Rao Foundation, Srinivas University, and Srinivas Group of Institutions will organize Founder’s Day celebration on Feb 14.
The event will be held at Srinivas University Pandeshwara Campus.
Chancellor Dr. CA A Raghavendra Rao will preside over the event. New Mangalore Port Trust Chairman Dr. Venkata Ramana Akkaraju will be the chief guest, University Vice Chancellor Dr P S Aithal told reporters.
Pro-Chancellor Dr. A Srinivas Rao will deliver the welcome speech.
Board of Governors Trustee-Member A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, Prof A Mitra S Rao, and Padmini Kumar, Vice-Chancellor Dr P S Aithal will be present.
Registrar Dr Anil Kumar, Dr Srinivas Mayya (Registrar – Evaluation) and Dr Ajay Kumar (Registrar – Development) were present at the Press Conference.

Outstanding Teacher Award 2021-22
A Shama Rao Foundation recognises the contribution of Teachers at High School and PU College level in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district.
This year, the foundation has selected Ramananda (Hindi Teacher, Govt English Medium High School, Daddalkadu, Bantwal) and Dr Saroja M (Lecturer in Biology, Bhandarkars’ PU College, Kundapura) for A Shama Rao Memorial Outstanding Teacher Award 2021-22 for their contribution in the field of Education in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district.
Outstanding Achievement Award
S Ganesh Rao, Chairman of G R Education Trust and Karavali Group of Colleges is selected for A Shama Rao Memorial Outstanding Achievement Award 2021-22 for his contribution in the field of education, employment, social and community services.
A Shama Rao Memorial Award
Srinivas Group also recognises key achievers in the field of Social Service. This year, C S Radhika (Female Ambulance Driver, Cauvery Ambulances, Kulai) and Varun Alva (Asst Sub Inspector, Reserve Police, Mangaluru) are selected for A Shama Rao Memorial Award 2021-22 for their outstanding service in the field of Social Service and Bravery respectively.
On this occassion, Dr Sandhya Shenoy of Srinivas University will be felicitated for her contribution in the field of Research.
Charles K C, Student of Srinivas University will also be felicitated for his international recognition in the field of painting.
