Sode, July 20, 2021: ‘Tapta Mudradharana,’ was held at Sode Moola Matha on the occasion of ‘Deva Shayini Ekadashi,’ -Tuesday.

Tapta Mudradharana is a ritual where Shankha and Chakra symbols are stamped on the body of the devotees. This is done twice a year- on Devashayini Ekadashi and Devaprabodhini Ekadashi (during Deepavali).

Maadhva Swamijis hold Mudradharana on this day in various places.

Sri Vishwavallabha Tirtha Sripadaru of Sode Matha held Mudradharana at Sode Moola Matha near Sirsi of Uttara Kannada district.

Special Pooja was offered to Sri Rama Trivikrama, Samstana Deities- Sri Bhoovaraha, Sri Hayagriva, Sri Vittala, and to Sri Vadirajara Swamiji and Sri Bhootarajaru.

After the Sudarshana Homa, Sode Sri Vadiraja Matadhipathi Sri Vishwavallaba Tirtha Sripadaru stamped the Shankha and Chakra Mudras on the arms. He later stamped the ‘Mudra,’ on Sri Vedavardhana Tirtha Sripadaru of Shirooru Matha and later to the devotees of the Matha.

Sri Madhvesha Tantri and others of Sode Matha were present.
