Pedestrian killed by speeding Motorcycle in Udupi
Udupi, April 12, 2021: A speeding motorbike killed a pedestrian at Kunjuru in Udupi district on Sunday night.
Vasanth Devadiga (52), working as a watchman at Adamaru Poornaprajna PU College, was walking on the mud road adjacent to Udupi-Mangaluru road.
Shankar who was on a motorbike drove the two-wheeler in a speed and negligent manner and hit Vasanth Devadiga who was walking on the mud road.
As a result, Devadiga sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to the district government hospital but was declared dead.
Bike rider Shankar who too sustained injuries is under treatment. A case under IPC Section 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way), 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and 304 (A) (Causing death by negligence) at Padubidri Police Station.
