Fishermen Advised Not to Venture into the Sea Due to Rough Weather

Mangaluru, July 24, 2025: The Arabian Sea is expected to remain turbulent with heavy rainfall and strong winds between July 23 and 26, as per a weather alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Thiruvananthapuram.

In light of this forecast, the Joint Director of Fisheries has issued an advisory urging all fishermen — including traditional boat fishermen — to refrain from venturing into the sea during this period. The directive has been issued as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incidents.

All fishing activities along the coast have been advised to remain suspended until conditions improve.
