Uttara Kannada: Holiday for schools in four taluks on July 04
Karwar, July 03, 2025: In light of the orange alert issued by the India Meteorological Department predicting heavy rainfall, the Uttara Kannada district administration has declared a holiday on July 04, 2025, for Anganwadis, primary, and high schools in four taluks— Sirsi, Siddapur, Yellapur and Joida.
Considering the potential inconvenience and risk to students, the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Karwar issued an order declaring holiday for all government, aided, and private schools as well as Anganwadis in the affected taluks for one day. However, the order is specific to July 04 and applies only to these four taluks.
The Department of Public Instruction Sirsi and the Department of Women and Child Development, Karwar have been instructed to strictly implement the order.
