Srinivas University: Institute of Aviation Studies Conducts Industrial Visit
Mangaluru, June 25, 2025: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organized an industrial visit for its first-year MBA Aviation Management students to Deccan Plast Industries Private Limited, Mangaluru, on June 24, 2025. The visit was aimed at providing students with hands-on exposure to the manufacturing processes and operational mechanisms of the plastic and polymer industry.
A total of 15 students participated in the visit, which was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Pavithra Kumari, Dean; Ms. Anjana T.V, Head of the Department; and industrial visit coordinators Mrs. Sushmitha Das and Mr. Roshin K. Sibi.
The students were taken on a detailed tour of the production facility, where they observed key stages of plastic manufacturing including raw material processing, injection and blow moulding techniques, quality control protocols, and final packaging. The technical staff at Deccan Plast Industries provided in-depth explanations of the machinery, technologies, and operational practices employed on the shop floor.
The visit served as an enriching learning experience, offering students real-world insights into industrial workflows, safety protocols, and supply chain management. It also helped bridge the gap between classroom-based theory and practical industry applications, enhancing the students’ understanding of how management principles are implemented in real-time.
