Mangaluru, Apr 08, 2025: In a stellar academic feat, Amoolya Kamath of Expert PU College, Mangalore, has emerged as the state topper in the Science stream of the second PUC board examination by scoring an outstanding 599 out of 600 marks.

Amoolya secured a perfect score of 100 in five out of six subjects, cementing her place at the top of the Karnataka merit list. She leads a remarkable performance by students of Expert PU College, with fellow student Shreya S. securing 597 marks to claim the third rank in the state, while Shadjai A.P. with 596 marks stood fourth.

The institution recorded an unprecedented achievement with 33 of its students securing positions among the top ten ranks in the state. Among them, Dhanyatha Gowda K., Vachana Allamaprabhu Bagodi, Chinmayi R., and U. Rohan H. Shenai shared the fifth rank with 595 marks each.

A total of 1,634 students from the college appeared for the examination, with 1,627 passing in first class. The academic performance was exceptional across the board — 10 students scored above 99%, 55 scored above 98%, 138 students crossed the 97% mark, 264 scored above 96%, and 379 students achieved over 95%. Notably, 966 students scored above 90%, and 1,429 scored above 80%.

In subject-wise centums, 42 students scored 100 in Physics, 62 in Chemistry, 212 in Biology, 192 in Mathematics, 5 in Computer Science, 4 in Electronics, 6 in Statistics, 2 in Home Science, 47 in Sanskrit, and 57 in Kannada. In total, 7 students secured full marks in four subjects, 37 in three subjects, 158 in two, and 305 in one subject.

Several students, including Mallambika, Vismaya Hiremath, Preksha Avabhrata, Likhita K.S., Pragati M.D., Yashas Gowda H.P., Sanika N.B., Hanishka Shetty, Sharvari, Shreyan K., Avanish B., Kartikeya R. Maiyya, Nutan Lokesh, Bhuvana, Sanvi S. Gowda, Shri Harsha H.Y., Bhavadharani G., Heer Renish Dedakia, Asmitha Shetty, Prajeal Kumar S., Tanvi Hemant, Nikhil Sonnad, M. Mahita, Vikas S. Police Patil, Janhavi Shenoy, and Nidhi K.G., also featured prominently among the top scorers with marks ranging from 590 to 594.

Chairman of Expert Educational Institution, Prof. Narendra L. Nayak, congratulated all successful students on behalf of the management, principal, and faculty, expressing immense pride over Amoolya Kamath’s extraordinary accomplishment and the overall performance of the college.
