Fresh Batch of Free Tenku Thittu Yakshagana Natya Training Begins in Udupi
Udupi, January 11, 2025: The vibrant art form of Tenku Thittu Yakshagana continues to flourish as a new batch of the Yakshagana Natya (Hejjegarike) training program begins at Sode Math, Udupi. Organized by the Panambur Venkatraya Aitala Samskrutika Pratishtana, Udupi this program has become a beacon for Yakshagana enthusiasts, nurturing talent for the past eight years.
Under the expert mentorship of Yakshaguru Sri Rakesh Rai Adka, the program has successfully trained over 100 students, imparting the intricate skills and rich traditions of this coastal Karnataka art form. The sessions, which are completely free of charge, will be held every Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.
The program owes its continued success to the support of Sri Sri Vishwavallabha Sripada, the seer of Sode Math, who has generously provided space within the Math for the training sessions. His commitment to preserving and promoting Yakshagana has been instrumental in ensuring the program’s growth and accessibility.
