State-of-the-Art Indoor Stadium to Boost Sports in Mangaluru: Speaker U.T. Khader
Mangaluru, Jan 3, 2025: Speaker U.T. Khader has stated that the indoor stadium under construction at Urwa Market in Mangaluru will be a significant contribution to the district’s sports infrastructure.
During his visit to the stadium on Friday to review the progress of the work, Khader emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards in the construction process. “The stadium project must be carried out with utmost precision and care, as it is associated with sports activities. High-quality materials and advanced technology should be utilized to ensure the stadium meets international standards,” he said.
The stadium is expected to serve as a venue for kabaddi and badminton, among other sports. Speaker Khader urged the officials and contractors to complete the project diligently and ensure its early inauguration for the benefit of the sporting community.
The site visit was attended by Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. Mullai Muhilan M.P., Smart City MD Raju, and representatives from various sports organizations.
