Calling Young Musicians: Yuva Mahotsava 2025 to Celebrate Hindustani Classical Music
Mangaluru, Jan 02, 2025: Mangaluru-based Sangeeta Bharati Foundation is organizing the Yuva Mahotsav 2025, a Hindustani classical music competition aimed at promoting interest and encouragement in music.
The event will be held on February 8 and 9, 2025, in Mangaluru.
This is a national-level competition open to young musicians aged 18 to 30 years. Participants will undergo an online selection process, and the last date to submit applications for the same is January 10, 2025. Interested candidates can register online at yuva2025.sangeetbharati.org.
The competition features two categories: Instrumental (excluding Tabla and Pakhawaj) and Vocal Music. Winners will be awarded the Swara Bharati title along with cash prizes:
- First Prize: ₹60,000
- Second Prize: ₹40,000
- Third Prize: ₹20,000
Renowned musicians such as Pt. Ronu Majumdar, Ustad Rafiq Khan, Pt. Jayateerth Mevundi, Pt. Yashwant Vaishnav, Vidushi Poornima Bhat Kulkarni, and Dr. Shashank will serve as judges for the competition.
The final round will take place on February 8 and 9, 2025, in Mangaluru. This competition provides a golden opportunity for Hindustani classical musicians to showcase their talent on a national platform.
