BJP Finalizes Candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor Positions in Mangaluru City Corporation
Mangaluru, Sept 18, 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalized its candidates for the positions of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) for the upcoming term.
The election is scheduled on Sept 19 at 11 am.
With a clear majority in the corporation, the BJP has named Manoj, a corporator from Ward No. 17 of Mangaluru City North Assembly Constituency, as its candidate for Mayor. Bhanumathi PS, a corporator from Ward No. 58 in the Mangaluru City South Assembly Constituency, has been chosen as the Deputy Mayor candidate.
The selection process took place during a meeting held at the BJP district office on Wednesday.
