Karwar, August 13, 2024: In celebration of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the District Collector of Karwar, Lakshmi Priya, has called upon officials to organize various patriotic activities across the district as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign leading up to Independence Day on August 15.

Presiding over a video conference meeting on Monday, the District Collector instructed all Tahsildars and officials from various departments to engage in the campaign. She emphasized that on August 13, Tiranga rallies should be organized in all taluks, with participants using bikes and bicycles. On August 14, the campaign should include a walkathon and Rangoli art depictions of the Tiranga. On August 15, citizens are encouraged to hoist the national flag at their homes and upload selfies with the flag on harghartiranga.com.

She urged that the public and the youth actively participate in these locally organized events. The campaign aims to bring the spirit of independence into every household, and the District Collector stressed the importance of involvement from all sectors, including government and semi-government organizations, corporations, self-help groups, public enterprises, associations, civic organizations, school and college students, and the general public.

The meeting was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prakash Rajput and district and taluk-level officials from various departments.
