131 MBBS students receive their certificates
Mangaluru April 22, 2024: The Graduation Day ceremony of Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Center unfolded its solemn yet celebratory ambiance at Hotel Srinivas this Saturday. Amidst a gathering of esteemed dignitaries and proud families, 131 MBBS students stepped into a new phase of their professional journey.
Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, the Pro Chancellor of Srinivas University and Vice President of A. Shama Rao Foundation Mangalore, Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, underscored the weight of responsibility that accompanies the title of “doctor.” He urged the graduates to uphold humility and dedication in their practice, emphasizing that every patient interaction contributes to their ongoing learning and growth.
Dr. A. Raghavendra Rao, the Chancellor of Srinivas University and President of A. Shama Rao Foundation Mangalore, echoed similar sentiments in his presidential address. Emphasizing the nobility of the medical profession, Dr. Rao urged the new doctors to prioritize service over financial gain, affirming that true success stems from selfless dedication to healing.
Adding her words of encouragement, Smt. A. Vijayalakshmi R. Rao, a Trustee member of the Srinivas University Board of Governors, stressed the importance of continuous learning and dedication to becoming exemplary doctors who serve society with compassion.
Administering the oath to the graduates, Prof A. Mitra S. Rao, another Trustee member of the Srinivas University Board of Governors, urged the students to elevate their profession through genuine practice and unwavering service.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of Dr. Ajay Kumar, Registrar of Development at Srinivas University, Dr. David Rosario, Medical Superintendent of SIMS & RC, Dr. Uday Kumar Rao, Dean of SIMS & RC, along with Dr. Anitha Sequeira and Ms. Freeda Dsouza.
Dr. Vishnu Keerthi welcomed the gathering, while Dr. Sathish Kumar delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Thanishk Patil compered the program.
