Kusina Mane Childcare Center Unveiled in Masur
Karwar, Jan 21, 2024: In a significant move to support the children of laborers in rural areas, Gram Panchayat President Manjunath Patgar inaugurated the “Kusina Mane” childcare center constructed under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony in Masur village of Hegde Gram Panchayat in Kumta taluk on Saturday.
He emphasized the importance of the center and encouraged villagers to avail themselves of this newly established resource.
Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer RL Bhat assured parents that the center provides a secure environment, allowing them to confidently leave their children in its care.
The primary objective of the childcare center is to raise awareness about children’s health, nutrition, education, and overall well-being. He assured parents that the center provides a safe environment where they can confidently leave their children.
The event witnessed the presence of key officials and community members, including Panchayat Development Officer V. A Patgar, former Zilla Panchayat member Govind Patgar, Anganwadi supervisor Bharathi Patgar, Gram Panchayat members, Secretary Keshav Naik and staff, IEC coordinator Poornima Gowda, technical assistant Naveen, and village elders.
