Universal School of Administration to organise Universal First Age Category Children State level Chess Tournament
Around 400 chess players from across the country are likely to participate in this tournament.
Bengaluru, Dec 27, 2023: Universal School of Administration which is known for training the young students for various civil service competitive examinations, and National level admission tests is organising State level Universal First Age Category Children Chess Tournament on January 7, 2024.
The competition will start at 9 am on that day. The number of rounds and the round-wise schedule will be announced at the tournament venue.
According to R Upendra Shetty, Chairman of the UGI, this competition will be held under the IQAC initiative of the institute. Department of Physical Education and Sports of the college under the aegis of KSCA And BUDCA organising this event which will be held at Universal Campus, Gururayanapura, Koluru, Ramohalli in Bengaluru.
A total of 120 trophies are up for grabs in six categories. The tournament will be held according to the latest FIDE rules and the Swiss system will be followed, according to a press statement

According to the organisers, the prize categories include boys and girls of 7 years, 9 years, 11 years, 13 years, 15 years, and 19 years. In each category 10 trophies will be given away. The chief arbiter of the event will be Shripad KV . The deadline for the registration is 6 pm on January 5,2024. “No spot entries allowed,” informed organisers.
All the participants will be issued E – certificates. Travel facilities will be arranged from neareby Challaghatta metro station to the venue. The Universal College Bus Timining: 8 – 8.15 am.
