Zilla Panchayat CEO Inspects Development Initiatives in Mundgod Taluk
Karwar, Dec. 15, 2023: Iswar Kumar Kandoo, the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Panchayat, conducted a comprehensive visit to Mundgod taluk to assess the progress of various developmental projects and schemes in the region.
During his visit to Sanjeevini Mart, a store showcasing products from the NRLM Self Help Group members, Kandoo commended the group’s efforts to attract customers through creative designs. He advised the members of the Sanjeevini Federation on effective materials to enhance the marketability of their products.
During his visit to Chigalli gram panchayat, Kandoo urged to ensure basic amenities for the dining hall constructed under MGNREGA in a government school. His engagement continued as he interacted with school children, inspecting the food provided to them under Akshara Dasoha, and emphasizing the importance of maintaining cleanliness.
Inspecting the solid waste disposal unit and chicken shed works under MGNREGA in Pala gram panchayat, the CEO scrutinized the quality of the projects. A visit to the Pala Community Health Centre allowed him to assess the health and quality of medicines provided to patients, with a call for prompt resolution of any issues identified.
Taluk Panchayat In-charge Executive Officer Jagadish Kammara, NREGA Assistant Director T. Sudhakar, and other officials accompanied the CEO.
