Special Meeting Announced to Tackle Drinking Water Woes in Mulki and Environs
Mangaluru, October 30, 2023: Deputy Commissioner Mullai Muhilan M has announced plans for a special meeting aimed at resolving the pressing drinking water issues in Mulki and its neighboring villages.
The announcement came during a Janata Darshan program held in Mulki on Monday, where the Deputy Commissioner interacted with the public and received their representations.
“Many residents highlighted the chronic drinking water problems plaguing their region during the Janata Darshan program. Additionally, it has come to light that the presence of saline water exacerbates the situation. In response, a meeting will soon convene, uniting local bodies and officials to explore viable solutions,” the DC said.
He said that a dedicated initiative is set to launch, aimed at expediting land-related processes such as survey, classification, and allotment. The revenue records for Mulki taluk, currently housed in the Mangaluru taluk office, will be relocated to Mulki for streamlined accessibility.
Mullai Muhilan emphasized the importance of swift response to public grievances during Janata Darshan, prioritizing timely relief.
The event witnessed the presence of Moodabidri MLA Umanath Kotian, Mangaluru Sub-Divisional Officer Harshavardhan, Tahsildar Pradeep Kurdekar, and other officials.
