Mangaluru, October 19, 2023: In preparation for the forthcoming Dasara festival, the city’s Municipal Corporation (MCC) has adorned the main roads with vibrant decorative lights. However, concerns have arisen due to unauthorized flexes and banners installed by public and private organizations in various locations. It has been discovered that these flexes and banners are encroaching on electricity connections from the poles and lights set up by the corporation for the festive displays.

Through a press statement, Municipal Commissioner has issued a stern warning stating that those responsible for such encroachments will face penalties. Additionally, they will be held directly accountable in the event of any mishap arising from these encroachments.

The unauthorized flexes and banners not only obstruct the decorative lighting arrangements but also compromise the integrity of the electricity connections.
