Manipal, October 15, 2023: The vibrant town of Manipal played host to the second edition of iTALK on Saturday, October 14, 2023.
This event was presented jointly by the Department of Commerce (DoC), Manipal, MAHE and the Indian Bureau of Administrators and Technocrats (I-BAT).
iTALK serves as a platform where thought leaders, achievers, entrepreneurs, and societal contributors come together to share their experiences and knowledge through 8-minute segments, aiming to inspire the next generation of leaders.
The event showcased a diverse group of speakers, including Dr. Rahul Magazine, Professor and Head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine at KMC-Manipal, MAHE; Dr. Maneesh Thomas, CEO of Manipal-GoK Bio Incubator; Dr. Rachna, a specialist from Emergency Medicine at KMC, Manipal; Navaneeth Ganesh, a scholar from IISc; Shreepathy R. Bhat, a PhD Scholar from MIT; and Venumadhav Bhat M., a noted cine artist.
Commander Dr. Anil Rana, Director of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal, inaugurated the event. He emphasized that in today’s swiftly changing technological landscape, true leadership is characterized by adaptability and foresight, making the embrace of change an indispensable trait for effective leaders.
Dr. Prabhakar Joshi, a recipient of the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, delivered the keynote address.

Dr. Sandeep Shenoy, Head of DOC-Manipal, welcomed the gathering. K. Rajaram Shetty, the President of I-BAT and a Chartered Accountant, shed light on I-BAT’s initiatives and the essence of iTALK. Dr. Dasharathraj K. Shetty delivered the vote of thanks.
The program was compered by Dr. Everil Fernandes and Vittal Kamath.
