World Tourism Day: UT Khader Ignites Growth in Coastal Tourism Hotspots
Mangaluru, September 27, 2023: State Legislative Assembly speaker UT Khader Fareed has emphasized the need for concerted efforts to bolster tourism in the picturesque coastal region.
Speaking at the inauguration of the World Tourism Day and District Tourism Workshop, jointly organized by the District Administration and the Tourism Department at Ocean Pearl Hotel on Wednesday, he highlighted the region’s immense potential as a tourist haven.
“Tulunadu, with its abundant wealth, rich culture, and heritage, offers a diverse range of attractions including pristine beaches, ancient temples, and scenic hill resorts,” he said and urged for proactive measures to educate visitors about the myriad hidden gems within the region.
He further suggested the creation of a museum dedicated to showcasing the distinctive heritage and culture of Tulunadu, envisioning it as a platform for cultural enlightenment.
MLA D Vedavyas Kamath, Mangaluru Mayor Sudhir Shetty Kannur, and DC Mullai Muhilan also shared their insights during the event, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing tourism.
N. Manikya, Deputy Director of Tourism, welcomed the gathering and skill development trainer Sanjay compered the program.
