Manipal, September 4, 2023: In a significant milestone, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has achieved the prestigious NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) accreditation for its Ethics Committee.

This esteemed recognition underscores MAHE’s unwavering dedication to upholding the highest ethical standards in all of its pursuits.

Dr. Veena G Kamath, a member of the MAHE Ethics Committee and a Professor in the Department of Community Medicine, highlighted the importance of having well-established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place. She attributed this remarkable achievement to the committee’s meticulous attention to detail and steadfast adherence to ethical guidelines.

Dr. Ullas Kamath, Head of the Department of Basic Medical Sciences (DBMS) and the Member Secretary of MAHE Ethics Committee, expressed his appreciation for MAHE’s management, which provided the committee with the opportunity to undergo rigorous third-party validation. This acknowledgment underscores MAHE’s commitment to nurturing a culture of ethical excellence.

Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, the Vice Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), extended his warmest congratulations to the entire team.
