Expert PU College Celebrates 77th Independence Day with Fervor and Zeal
Mangaluru, Aug 15, 2023: In a heartwarming commemoration of India’s 77th year of independence, Expert PU College, Kodialbail, embraced the spirit of patriotism and unity at the Shri Bhagavathi Temple premises. The theme, “Nation First, Always First,” resonated strongly with the broader “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” Celebration, encapsulating the unwavering dedication of the nation towards progress and unity.
Asha Kamath, Principal Program Manager at Adobe, USA was the chief guest.
College chairman, Narendra L Nayak, Vice Chairperson Dr. Ushaprabha N Nayak, IT Head Ankush N Nayak, Proprietor of Keystone Architecture Deepika A Nayak, and Principal Prof. Ramachandra Bhat graced the occasion with their presence.
Asha Kamath unfurled the National Flag. The reverberating notes of the National Anthem echoed in unison, encapsulating the collective spirit of the gathering. Addressing the students, Asha Kamath emphasized the significance of freedom and the accompanying responsibility it brings. She urged each individual to cherish democracy and to uphold the values instilled by parents and teachers.
Asha Kamath also inspired the students to create a strong global image for themselves while remaining rooted in Indian values. She encouraged them to embrace their time as students and absorb the wealth of knowledge that Expert PU College offers.
Chairman Narendra L Nayak, in his presidential address, stirred the patriotic fervor among the students. He implored them to take immense pride in being Indian and to recognize the responsibility that accompanies this identity. Nayak reminded the youth of the inspirational sacrifices made by past leaders and called upon them to carry forward the legacy of nation-building.
A series of competitions marked the Independence Day celebration, including essay writing, pencil sketching, and painting competitions. The winners were felicitated for their remarkable achievements:

The event also marked the inauguration of the Student Council for the academic year 2023–24. Dr. Ushaprabha Nayak, Vice Chairperson, administered the oath to the newly appointed Student Council members, charging them with the responsibility of not only representing the institution but also the nation itself.

The celebration reached a crescendo as students unitedly rendered the ‘Vande Guru Parampara’ song, paying homage to the lineage of India’s revered gurus. The event’s proceedings were skillfully orchestrated by the hosts, Ruhan Darshak of the A1 batch, Niyathi Shenoy, and Kathyayini of the C1 batch.
