Maintenance work between Madgaon Junction and Kumta on Aug 3
Udupi, August 1, 2023: In a bid to ensure the smooth functioning and safety of assets, Konkan Railway has announced a 4-hour mega block for maintenance between Madgaon Junction and Kumta section. The maintenance operation is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 11 am to 3 pm.
The mega block is expected to have some repercussions on the train services operating in the region during the specified period. As per the official announcement, the following trains will be affected:
- Train No. 06602 (Mangaluru Central – Madgaon Jn. Special): The journey of this train, which is set to commence on August 3, 2023, will be short terminated at Kumta station. Additionally, the train will experience partial cancellation between Kumta and Madgaon section.
- Train No. 06601 (Madgaon Jn. – Mangaluru Central Special): On August 3, 2023, this train will short originate from Kumta station at its scheduled time. However, due to the mega block, it will be partially cancelled between Madgaon and Kumta section.
Commuters planning to travel on these train routes are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
