MCOPS Conducts Basic Life Support Program
Manipal, April 21, 2023: The Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in partnership with the Department of Anesthesiology at KMC Manipal conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) Program for 25 factory employees of Manipal Technologies Limited on March 17th, 2023.
Dr. Sushma TK, Associate Professor, Department of Anesthesiology, KMC, Manipal and a certified AHA BLS and ACLS instructor, provided first aid training on management for cardiac arrest and choking to the 25 factory employees.
The program was coordinated by Dr. Prasanna Kumar and Dr. Sreedharan from the Department of Pharmacy Practice at MCOPS, Manipal. Ms. Pooja Gopal Poojari, a Research Scholar from the Department of Pharmacy Practice at MCOPS, welcomed the participants.
At the end of the training, Vidya Gomes, Manager of Human Resources at Manipal Technologies Limited, presented a memento to Dr. Sushma as a token of appreciation for her outstanding effort in conducting the training.
