India reports 6,050 new COVID-19 cases
New Delhi, April 07, 2023: India recorded 6,050 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with the daily positivity rate at 3.39%. The country’s active caseload currently stands at 28,303, which is 0.06% of the total cases. India’s recovery rate is at 98.75%, with 3,320 recoveries in the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 4,41,85,858.
India has administered a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses, with 95.21 crore people receiving their second dose and 22.87 crore people receiving a precautionary dose. In the last 24 hours, 2,334 doses were administered. The weekly positivity rate is at 3.02%. India has conducted a total of 92.25 crore tests so far, with 1,78,533 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
The rising number of new cases is a concern for the Indian government, which continues to urge people to follow COVID-19 protocols and get vaccinated. While the high number of vaccinations and the country’s recovery rate are positive signs, it is important to remain vigilant and take precautions to control the spread of the virus.
