India records 3,824 new Covid cases
New Delhi, April 02, 2023: According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded 3,824 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases to 18,389. This translates to an active caseload of 0.04%.
Meanwhile, the country’s recovery rate stands at an impressive 98.77%, with 1,784 new recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours. This brings the total number of recovered cases to 4,41,73,335.
The daily positivity rate in India is currently at 2.87%, while the weekly positivity rate stands at 2.24%. The country has conducted a total of 92.18 crore COVID-19 tests so far, with 1,33,153 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
As the country continues its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has been urging citizens to take all necessary precautions to avoid the spread of the virus. With the vaccination drive in full swing, the hope is that the country will soon be able to contain the spread of the virus and emerge from the pandemic stronger than ever before.
India has administered a total of 220.66 crore vaccine doses, including 95.21 crore second doses and 22.86 crore precaution doses, under the nationwide vaccination drive as of April 2, 2023. In the last 24 hours, 2,799 doses were administered, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
