MAHE signs MoU with Magnic Technologies
Manipal, March 21, 2023: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and Magnic Technologies Pvt. Ltd. from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on scientific research for the co-development of new technologies in the area of laser spectroscopic instrumentation and its application in the jewellery industry.
The agreement was signed today.
Magnic Technologies Pvt Ltd, which recently received the best start-up award from NITI AAYOG, Govt. of India, aims to develop non-ferrous particle detector technology for gold jewellery in collaboration with MAHE. Mr Karthikeyan C, the Managing Director of Magnic Technologies, expressed his delight in signing the agreement and looked forward to a long-lasting collaboration.
MAHE Pro Vice-Chancellor (Technology and Sciences), Dr Narayana Sabhahit, stated that MAHE is pleased to collaborate with Magnic in developing new technologies for non-ferrous impurity detection in gold jewellery. Dr Giridhar P Kini, the Registrar of MAHE, mentioned that MAHE promotes multidimensional industry-academia engagement and expressed his hope that this collaboration would benefit both Magnic and MAHE.
During the signing ceremony, Dr Raviraja N S (Director of Planning & Monitoring, and Corporate Relations), Dr Sajan D. George (Head, Dept. of Atomic and Molecular Physics, MAHE), and Dr Unnikrishnan V. K. (Associate Professor of Atomic and Molecular Physics, MAHE) were also present.
The collaboration between MAHE and Magnic Technologies is expected to create new technological innovations that will benefit the jewellery industry.
