Netaji statue to be re-installed in front of Vidhana Soudha: CM Bommai
Bengaluru, Jan. 23, 2023: The statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, which was moved due to Namma Metro construction, will be reinstalled in front of the Vidhana Soudha. An order to this effect will be issued immediately, according to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking after offering floral tributes to Netaji on his birth anniversary, Bommai highlighted Netaji’s patriotism and his clear aim to wage a direct war against the British. Despite a different thinking he contested against the Congress official candidate and won the election.
Bommai also mentioned Netaji’s rejection of an IAS post to freedom struggle, and how he formed his own army, and ignited the freedom struggle across the country.
The CM highlighted how Netaji’s personality made a positive impression on the Westerners, and how he continues to be an inspiration to build the nation.
