Manipal, Jan 17, 2023: The five days Faculty Development Programme on “Cyber-Physical Systems” organized by the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering was inaugurated at Sir MV Hall, MIT, Manipal on Jan 16. 

Dr. Shreesha HOD, ICE welcomed the gathering. Ravin Jolly, Software Engineer, Liquid Instruments Australia, and Shinoj Kalyadan, International Marketing & Distribution Manager, Emona Instruments, Sydney, Australia were the guests of honor. 

“From the medical field to transportation, and manufacturing to defense, cyber-physical systems are in great demand. With advancements in communication and computation technologies this demand is likely to grow even faster,” Dr. Anil Rana, Director, MIT, Manipal MAHE said. 

The faculty development program being conducted is aimed at preparing our faculty members to handle these systems in the near future. All the sessions are being delivered by Industry experts and will be conducted in a hands-on mode with the presidential remark. 

Convener of FDP Dr. Santhosh K V delivered the vote of thanks. The FDP is scheduled from 16th to 20th January 2023 at MIT, Manipal.
