Prime Minister Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi passes away
New Delhi, Dec 20, 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben passed away on Friday.
After her health condition deteriorated, Heeraben was under treatment at the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre since Wednesday. According to the Hospital, Heeraben passed away at 3.30 am.
Modi flew to Ahmedabad and participated along with his brothers in the last rites.
Heeraben lived at Raysan near Gandhinagar with her son Pankaj Modi. During his visit to Gujarat, Modi used to visit his mother and spend some time with her.
Prime Minister recalled that he always felt the trinity of a tapsvi’s journey, selfless Karmyogi, and a life dedicated to values in her.
The Prime Minister also remembered the advice she gave on her 100th birthday where she said work should be done with wisdom and life is to be lived with purity.
Modi family asked the people to continue with their scheduled program. Within a few hours after he participated in the last rites of his mother, Prime Minister Modi virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development works in West Bengal.
This gesture of Modi has been lauded by various leaders.
