Strict action against officials who avail transport facility from beneficiaries: DC Ravi Kumar
Mangaluru, Dec 29, 2022: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar has warned of strict action against the officials if they are found availing transport facilities from the beneficiaries while conducting spot inspection.
He was speaking after presiding over the district awareness and monitoring committee meeting at the deputy commissioner’s office today.
“The officials should use the department vehicles to conduct spot inspections to provide facilities for the beneficiaries from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the district. Strict action will be taken if they are found availing transport facilities from the beneficiaries. Criminal cases can be booked against such officials,” the DC warned.
The Deputy Commissioner asked to file a complaint if the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe certificates are obtained and misused. He said that the certificate will be dismissed and necessary action will be taken against those concerned.
He said that there was no scope for recruitment at the district level for the Namma Clinics as it is done directly by the state government. However, the DC assured to give priority to SC/ST communities while appointing staff on contract bases in the health department.
Additional DC Krishnamurthy KH, Social Welfare Deputy Director Siddalingesh, District Urban Cell Project Director Abhishek, and other officials were present.
