- The airport in collaboration with YUVA NGO invited underprivileged children to make their day memorable
- CSMIA makes Children’s Day memorable with special events and activities
Mumbai, Nov 18, 2022: Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) celebrated Children’s Day with much fervor, with an endeavour to make every travel memorable.
For every individual, first air travel or first visit to the airport is always considered a milestone. Following this year’s theme by UNICEF – “Equality and Inclusion for every child”, CSMIA ensured to spread the joy among kids by inviting them to the airport for a fun-filled walkthrough.
CSMIA in collaboration with Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA), a non-profit development organization, invited underprivileged children to Terminal-2 of CSMIA on 14th November 2022 to celebrate Children’s Day by spreading happiness and making them feel special. CSMIA organized a bus pick-up/drop service for the kids and hosted them for a tour of the airport.
Just like every other individual taking their first trip through the airport, CSMIA’s tour for these children was a dream come true and they loved every minute of it. The kids also enjoyed fun games at the airport, post which snacks, gifts and goodie bags with souvenirs such as drawing books, crayons, chocolates, and much more were shared with them.
To make every child’s journey memorable, CSMIA also gave away goodie bags with assorted chocolates to all children travelling through Terminal-1 and 2 of the airport, as part of their celebration of this special day. The airport also arranged special events for all the children of CSMIA employees aged between 5 to 10 years. These kids took part in activities such as slogan making on the theme ‘Growth with Goodness’ and collage making on the theme ‘Green efficient’. A special magic show was also arranged for these children post which, special goodies were given as a souvenir.
For CSMIA, every passenger is alike, irrespective of age or gender. This Children’s Day activity was an attempt to make travel accessible and a part of kids’ life. CSMA goes above and beyond to make every passenger’s transit through the airport a memorable one. In the past CSMIA has celebrated many festivities with passengers such as Diwali, Independence Day, Holi and more, making the airport truly a “Gateway to Goodness”.
