Bronze statue of Kedambadi Ramaiah Gowda to be unveiled on Nov 19

Mangaluru, Nov 15, 2022: The bronze statue of freedom fighter Kedambadi Ramaiah Gowda will be unveiled at Bavutagudde on Nov 19.
Kedambadi Ramaiah Gowda had fought against the British in Dakshina Kannada district as early as 1837 A.D.
Minister for Kannada and Culture V Sunil Kumar chaired a meeting at Deputy Commissioner’s office in Mangaluru to review the preparedness today.
“The program will be held in a grand manner. Chief Minister is scheduled to participate in the program. About 25 thousand people are likely to participate in the program. The concerned departments should make necessary preparations,” the Minister directed.
He suggested that necessary arrangements should be made for the preparation of the dais, food, drinking water, toilets, transportation, invitation, and other arrangements.
Mangaluru Mayor Jayananda Anchan, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Ravikumar M. R, Mangalore City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar, ZP CEO Dr. Kumar, MCC Commissioner Akshy Shridhar, and additional DC Krishnamurthy were present.
