Mangaluru, Oct 25, 2022: As per the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mangalore City South BJP celebrated Deepavali in a unique way.

MLA Vedavyas Kamath and Mandal president Vijay Kumar Shetty felicitated Major Vijayachandra, a resident of Padil Veeranagar, who recently retired after serving in the Indian Army for 13 years.

“As per the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, we have been celebrating Deepavali with the families of soldiers for the last two years.
We should work towards boosting the morale of the soldiers by celebrating the festival along with the families of the soldiers who have dedicated themselves to defend the country,” Kamath said.

Mandal general secretary Roopa D Bangera, vice-president Ramesh Hegde, local corporator Chandravathi Vishwanath, MCC nominated member Bhaskarchandra Shetty, Mandal committee member Mohan Poojary, Mandal social media convener Nilesh Kamath, co-convener Ashwath Kottari, prominent leader Shabareesh, Shakthi Kendra leader Geethanand Shetty and others were present on the occasion. Booth president Sandeep Shetty, OBC Morcha member Yashwanth Amin and activists from Kannur ward were present.
