YLD Committee: Campco thanks Union government

Mangaluru, Oct 21, 2022: A. Kishore Kumar Kodgi, President and the Board of Management of Campco have lauded the central government for coming to the rescue of arecanut farmers affected by Yellow Leaf Disease.

“We thank Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar and Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje for responding to the requests submitted by Campco and other Cooperatives. The government has come to the rescue of the areca farmers whose plantations have been crucially affected by Yellow Leaf Disease by forming a Committee of Experts and conducting Scientific Research, analyzing and finding a solution for it,” a press statement from Campco president Kishore Kumar Kodgi stated.

“The formation of the Expert Committee has brought huge relief to the affected Farmers. They now heave a sigh of relief that the Government is with them and supports them,” Kodgi said and added that Campco will relentlessly continue its endeavor in supporting the Farmers he said.
