12th instalment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi released
Rs 1007.26 crore transferred to 50.36 lakh farmers of Karnataka
Bengaluru, Oct 17, 2022: Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 12th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Fund program and Rs 1007.26 crore is being released to 50.36 lakh farmers of Karnataka.
Participating in a virtual meeting with all deputy Commissioners here on Monday, he said as many as 53.84 lakh farmer families are so far benefited from this central government scheme by getting the first installment. Between March 2019 and July 2022, 53.83 lakh farmer families have received the financial assistance to the tune of Rs 9968.57 crore from the government of India.
In year 2022-23, Rs 1251.98 crore monetary assurance has been transferred. The farmers proposed from the State Government to the PM Kisan-Karnataka scheme, have received the financial assistance to the tune of Rs 4821.37 crore from 2019 till date. For the year 2022-23, Rs 956.71 crore has been directly sent to farmers bank account.
The Government of India wishes all the payments must be done through the Aadhar-based DBT scheme. Among all the states, Karnataka has bagged the award for the year 2020-21 for doing 96 per cent of transactions through Aadhar based DBT transfer. The eligibility of farmers families are regularly examined under the strict supervision.
