NREGA work gets good support in Mundgod
Karwar, Sep 13, 2022: Good quality works are in progress under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). Laborers take personal interest and engage in these works, Panchayat President Raghavendra Patil.
He was addressing the laborers at the forest trench work site in the Gotagodikoppa forest area of Malagi gram panchayat in Mundgod taluk on Wednesday. The work is taken up under MGNREGA.
He said that about 60 to 70 laborers are working every day and work is being done to increase the groundwater level.
Vinayak D Malagunda, a laborer opined that the government should provide 150 days of work under the project.
