Manipal Sept 21, 2022: Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS) will hold the 1st Manipal Pharmaceutics Conference (MPCON) between September 22 and 24, 2022 at Manipal. The conference aims to provide a platform for deliberation and knowledge-sharing amongst pharmaceutical researchers and students towards improving current and future therapeutics through the concept of molecular pharmaceutics.

The event is expected to see participation from approximately 300 delegates including pharmacy students and teachers from various reputed pharmacy institutions in India.

The conference will include keynote address, plenary lectures and panel discussions. Research and futuristic papers will be presented in the poster competitions under 7 pharmaceutical categories. Besides, a preconference workshop in the three different areas viz., Computational simulation, Hot melt extrusion technology and Quality by design approach will be organized, parallelly, on September 22, 2022, in collaboration with Schrodinger, Bengaluru and Steer Life limited, Bengaluru.

Speaking about the event Dr C Mallikarjuna Rao, Principal, MCOPS said that the conference will serve as an impetus to promoting the knowledge among the students and researchers in the area of novel drug delivery systems and drug targeting approaches for effective treatment of diseases.

The event will be facilitated by the Department of Pharmaceutics of MCOPS and will have participation from reputed pharmaceutical industries like Syngene International Ltd, Novartis Healthcare Pvt ltd, Thermo Fisher Scientific India, Essarkay Chemicals and Durga Chemicals.
