Very heavy rain likely in Udupi and DK

Udupi, Sept 07, 2022: The IMD has issued an orange alert for Udupi and Dakshina Kannada till Sept 10 morning.
According to the IMD bulletin, isolated places over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rain (115.6 mm to 204.4 mm) till September 10 morning.
Heavy rain (64.5 mm to 115.5 mm) is likely to occur at isolated places in Uttara Kannada district. The region is also likely to witness thunderstorm.
Due to the weather conditions, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
Fisheries warning: Squally weather with wind speed 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph is likely to prevail along and off the Karnataka coast. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea.
