Beach clean-up drive held at Panambur
Mangaluru, Aug 12: The beach clean-up drive organized as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ was inaugurated at Panambur Beach today. The drive is held to encourage and educate people towards maintaining neat and clean beaches of the Karnataka coastline.
Anshu Kumar, DCP (Law and Order) Mangaluru City was the Chief Guest.
Two hundred volunteers from the Indian Coast Guard and stakeholders including NMPA, NCC, CSP, NMPA, MRPL, Customs department, Alvas College and Young India Group, and Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) participated.
The conclusion of the drive coincides with “International Coastal Clean-up Day 2022” on September 17. It aims to bring relief to marine life and those staying in coastal areas.
