Minister Srinivas Poojary visits flood affected villages in Uttara Kannada
Karwar, July 16, 2022: District in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary visited Bhatkal, Kumta, and Honnavar, to take stock of the flood situation on Saturday.
In a meeting with the senior district and taluk-level officials held at Mini Vidhana Soudha in Bhatkal and Kumta taluk panchayat hall, the minister held detailed discussions with MLAs Sunil Naik and Dinakar Shetty.
He also directed that if people come to the ‘Kalaji Kendra,’ under any circumstances, they should be provided good quality food and accommodation.
Minister Kota, received comprehensive information about the damaged houses, buildings, and other infrastructures in each gram panchayat limits. He instructed all the officials to be present in their jurisdiction and receive phone calls round the clock and come to the aid of the public and discharge their responsibilities.
The minister visited the flood-affected villages like Kadageri, Natageri, Chikkanakodu, Mutta, Hadageri, Gundibail, and Hadinabala villages. He spoke to the people and inspected the flood situation there.
He asserted that the district administration is geared up to deal with the flood situation across the district and there should be no panic among the public.
