Holiday declared for schools, colleges in DK and Udupi

Mangaluru, June 30, 2022: Dakshina Kannada district administration has declared a holiday for all schools and colleges on July 1.

“The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert till 8.30 am for Dakshina Kannada. But we anticipate abnormally high rain tomorrow. Considering the larger public interest, DDMA (District Disaster Management Authority) has decided to declare holiday on Friday to all the Anganwadi centers, Schools, PU, and degree colleges of the district,” Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K V told reporters.

Dakshina Kannada district has been experiencing heavy rain since Thursday morning. The district administration had declared a holiday for PU and degree colleges on Thursday. As heavy rain continues, the district administration has decided to declare a holiday to all the schools and colleges on Friday also.

Udupi district too declared holiday for all schools and Colleges on Friday.
