National Training Project- Practical Pediatric Hematology held at Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal

Manipal, May 31, 2022: The division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology along with the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology chapter of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics conducted the National Training Project- Practical Pediatric Hematology at Manipal.

The workshop was attended by more than100 delegates with extensive discussion on various topics in pediatric hematology. The workshop featured guest speakers from prestigious institutes across India like Sir Ganga Ram Hospital-Delhi, CMC-Vellore, and St John’s Hospital- Bengaluru.

Dr. Sharath Kumar Rao, Dean, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal who was the chief guest stressed on the importance of the workshop.

“The workshop will enable the pediatricians as well as trainees in pediatrics to learn and update their knowledge,” he said.

Dr. Shashidhar S B, president of IAP, Udupi District was the guest of Honor for the workshop.

“Workshops like these are eye-opening for practicing pediatricians and enable them to refer children early to the specialized units to enable best possible care,” he said.

Dr. Vasudeva Bhat, Associate Professor and In-charge head of the division gave an overview of the workshop. Dr. Archana MV, Assistant Professor, welcomed the gathering and Dr. Vinay M V, Assistant Professor, delivered the vote of thanks.
