Karwar: Indoor Strengthening and Play Arena inaugurated at Navy Children School
Karwar, April 18, 2022: The Navy Children School, Karwar added a new chapter in its journey towards providing overall quality education by setting up a unique “Indoor Strengthening and Play Arena”.
Navy Wives Welfare Association (NWWA), Karnataka Naval Area, President Goolrukh Anand, inaugurated the facility in the presence of the Flag Officer Commanding Karnataka Naval Area, Rear Admiral Atul Anand, and other senior functionaries of the NWWA, staff, and students of the school.
The facility was conceptualized to provide all-weather and all-round physical development to students. The arena is designed on the lines of obstacle course of the military training curriculum, with varying difficulty levels to provide gradual and progressive development of the physical and neuromotor skills.
The arena has been conceptualized to inculcate qualities of better team building, improved morale, leadership qualities, confidence levels and trust among classmates, and most importantly the “esprit de corps”.
The facility will be very useful in getting the students back to active physical life from the virtual world of mobile phones, which has become a major challenge due to increased screen time access, especially during the last two years of COVID 19.
