Mangaluru, April 15, 2022: The new managing committee for Sri Venkataramana Temple at Ratha Beedhi- Mangaluru, was elected on Friday.

The temple is one of the important temples of the GSB Community.

Among the 11 candidates who contested, Adige Balakrishna Shenoy, M. Kiran Pai, M. Satish Prabhu, K. Ganesh Kamath, and M. Jagannath Kamath were elected as Muktesar (Trustees) of the Temple for the next five-year term.

Community members above the age of 18 years residing within the limits of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) were allowed to participate in the voting.

The polling began at 8 a.m and concluded at 7 p.m. Noted advocate Nagesh Kumar, was the designated election officer of the Temple. Premananda Kini was the Assistant election officer. Volunteers assisted the election process.

On Friday morning, former trustees C. L Shenoy, Prashanth Rao, and Ramachandra Kamath handed over the administration and keys of the temple in the presence of the deity. On this occasion, former trustees M. Padmanabha Pai and Kochikar Jayaraj Pai were also present.
