Srinivas University: Institute of Allied Health Sciences organizes International Women’s Day
Mangaluru, March 09, 2022: Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University celebrated International Women’s Day – 2022 at the Mukka campus on March 8.
Dr. Vrinda J Bhat, Professor & Head, Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology was the chief guest. Prof. Dr. J Satya Sai Kumar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Anil Kumar, Registrar, Srinivas University, Devaseelan S, Dean, College of Allied Health Sciences were the guests of honor.
Lavanya P S, Assistant Professor, Department of Forensic Sciences in her introductory speech spoke about the significance of Women’s Day.
Dr. Vrinda J Bhat appreciated the efforts of women in society. She highlighted the meaning of this year’s theme “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow.”
After the cake cutting, a few games were conducted which had active participation both from the staff and students.
The cultural activities included singing by Assistant Professors, Niketh P S (Forensic Science), Lavanya P S (Forensic Science), and Nourin S (Medical Imaging Technology).
The program ended with prize distribution for the winners of the games. Brilly Anto, Assistant Professor, Department of Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology delivered the vote of thanks.
Maureen Edwards, Assistant Professor/ Coordinator of Fine Arts organized the program. The Teaching and non-teaching staff along with the students were a part of this celebration.
