Thief attacks policemen in Mangaluru
Mangaluru, Feb 21, 2022: A police Head Constable sustained stab injuries when an accused assaulted him in Mangaluru on Monday evening.
Police received a message that a thief from Kasargod had come to Mangaluru to sell a costly watch.
Bunder police personnel Vinod and Pravin went to secure the accused.
“He assaulted and escaped from the spot. Vinod has sustained a small stab injury. He has been admitted at Yenepoya hospital and is out of danger,” City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar told reporters.
“Messages are making rounds on social media giving it a communal color. But it is not so. Our people were attacked by a thief,” he added.
