MCC: Ward Committee meeting to be held every month

Mangaluru, Feb 12, 2022: Ward Committee meeting in Mangaluru City Corporation limits will be held during the 3rd week of every month.

Ward Committee Secretaries have already been appointed in all the wards of Mangaluru City Corporation.

“It has been decided that 3rd week of every month Ward Committee meeting will be conducted. The respective Ward Committees have been directed to finalize the venue and conduct the meetings in their respective ward,” MCC Commissioner said in a press statement.

“The Ward Secretaries have also been directed to collect applications from citizens to fulfill vacancies in those wards where the Ward Committee members are lesser than those stipulated,” he said.

“Citizen participation is an important aspect in the administrative functions of ward committees, therefore holding a ward committee meeting at the beginning of every month is essential,” he added.
