Byrathi Basavaraj warns action against erring officials
Mangaluru, Feb 02, 2022: Urban Development Minister Byrathi Basavaraj warned strict action against officials responsible for the delay in Smart City works in Mangaluru.
He was chairing a review meeting of Mangaluru City Corporation, Mangaluru Smart City Ltd, and KUIDFC works today.
Asking officials to speed up the smart city works, Urban Development Minister declared to take disciplinary action against the officials if there is any delay in the work.
“There are many complaints from the public on delay in the works. Officials should work honestly and complete the work on time,” he said. He asked the Commissioner to visit one ward every week and supervise the problem there and solve them at the earliest.
The minister assured all necessary financial aid in the forthcoming budget to the projects in the city.
He inspected various works undertaken under Smart City Project in the City.
“I should not get any complaint from the public. All the works should be completed within the timeframe,” he said.
Mayor Premanand Shetty, Commissioner Akshy Shridhar, and other officials were present.
